In the summer of last year, we were sad to report that Toya Wright lost not one but two of her brothers in New Orleans when they were shot multiple times and killed inside a car. The two were pronounced dead on the scene.
At the time, police weren’t releasing any information about potential suspects but that changed on Thursday, March 9 when 31-year-old Antoine Edwards as arrested on two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of Joshua and Ryan “Rudy” Johnson.
According to the arrest warrant affidavit, NOPD homicide detective Theo Kent said multiple tipsters told investigators that a man known as “Toine” or “Tweezy” was responsible for the killings. Toine, in at least one instance admitted to the shooting to others.
Several witnesses picked his photo out from lineups.
Joshua and Rudy were 31 and 24-years-old respectively at the time of their death.
TMZ reached out to Toya to get her thoughts on the recent arrest.
“All we want is justice for my brothers. We thank everyone for their prayers and support.”
