This year's Academy Awards nominations represented several historic firsts: the <a href="http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/behind-screen/oscars-moonlight-editing-nomination-marks-a-first-967940">first Black woman to be nominated for editing</a> <em>Moonlight</em>, <a href="http://people.com/movies/viola-davis-makes-history-first-black-actress-to-earn-three-oscar-nominations/">Viola Davis becoming the first Black woman to have 3 Oscar nominations</a>, and the <a href="http://www.thewrap.com/oscars-2017-3-black-supporting-actresses-earn-noms-first-time-ever/">number of Black women nominated in the supporting actress category</a>. And despite this small step forward in the land of inclusion, our brethren and sistren on Twitter have a huge problem with the fact that Taraji P. Henson was not nominated for Best Actress for her role in <em>Hidden Figures. </em>
