The excitement surrounding the premiere of BET’s New Edition Story was almost palpable. Yesterday, hours before the tv movie ever aired, New Edition was trending on Twitter. Folks were excited. Let’s be real, we all know good and well that tv movies have a certain stigma around them. The stereotype is that they are not well produced, networks often skimp on costs and sadly, it shows in the final product. But this movie right here? BET spent some good money on this. And if they didn’t, they made all the right moves to make it look like they did.
