Who doesn’t love beauty? Seriously, there’s too many products not to find at least a few that become staples. And as time goes on, you continue to expand that arsenal and find even more gems. All to say, makeup is something that here to stay, ladies.
And to further prove that point, retailer SkinStore conducted a survey that showed just how deep ladies’ love for primping and pampering is. Surveying 3,000 women from ages 16 to 75 regarding their makeup regimens, their findings were quite eye opening.
SkinStore found that over 85% of women use a minimum of 16 products before leaving the house, which includes a combination of skincare and cosmetics like facial cleansers and blush. They even went as far as revealing the average daily cost of how much a women spends on her face: $8 a day. At first, the single-digit seems relatively low, but it definitely adds up over a months span. They also found American women reportedly spend up to $300,000 in their lifetime on cosmetics.
The company even went as far as breaking down statistics via coast with women from New York, Connecticut and West Virginia spend the most on their faces, an average of $11 a day. On the other hand, women in Utah, Colorado and Montana spend just $3.50 a day on their beauty rituals. In fact, East Coast women in general were found to spend more than their West Coast counterparts.
