Nothing puts quite a strain on a relationship like having a child. Add that on top of an already less than stable situation and at a time when you would think a couple would stick it out the most, that's when the likelihood that they will call it quits actually increases. There have been quite a few famous women who after having a child with their husband or boyfriend, made the decision to hit the road and not look back. But there have also been men who decided they couldn't stick around, despite having a baby on the way, because they believed that the grass was much greener on the other side. Here are 10 famous couples that couldn't seem to make it work soon after creating or welcoming their children into the world.  

Janet Jackson and Wissam Al Mana

Eissa Al Mana was just born in January. Earlier this month, Jackson filed for divorce.

Tiny and T.I.

Heiress Harris was born in March 2016. In December of that same year, Tiny filed for divorce.

Christina Milian and The-Dream

In September of 2009, it was announced that Milian and former husband The-Dream were expecting their first child together -- it was his fourth. The-Dream didn't tell people until summer of 2010 that he and Milian had split, and actually done so in late 2009, months before little Violet Madison Nash's birth.

Ciara and Future

Ciara gave birth to her son in May 2014, made with rapper Future. By August of that same year, their engagement was called off.

Kelis and Nas

Fed up and ready to go, Kelis filed for divorce from rapper Nas in April 2009 while seven months pregnant with his son. In June, she gave birth to baby Knight.

Keshia Knight-Pulliam and Ed Hartwell

After announcing that she was expecting her first child with husband Ed Hartwell on July 17, a few days later (July 25 to be specific), Hartwell pulled the rug out from under Pulliam when he filed for divorce. As a reminder, they had just tied the knot on January 1, 2016. She gave birth to their daughter Ella Grace this past January.

Jill Scott and Li'l John Roberts

An engaged couple, Jill Scott and her drummer, Li'l John Roberts, welcomed their son, Jett, to the world in April 2009. By June, the singer announced that they had called it quits.

Shar Jackson and Kevin Federline

Jackson, who was reportedly engaged to Federline, already had daughter Kori with him. Sadly, right before the birth of their second child, son Kaleb, the couple split and he decided to start a relationship with (and then get married to) Britney Spears.

Mel B and Eddie Murphy

The former Spice Girl started dating comedic legend Eddie Murphy in 2006. By the end of that year, the couple had called it quits. Brown was pregnant though, and when asked about the baby by press, Murphy publicly said that he was waiting for a paternity test to prove he was Angel Iris Murphy Brown's father. She was born in April 2007, and a DNA test confirmed he was the father in June.

Kim Porter and Diddy

Despite birthing twin daughters Jessie and D'Lila in December of 2006, in July of 2007, Porter packed up everything, including the baby furniture, and stormed out of the home she shared with longtime love Sean Combs.
