Where did the time go?
Kimora Lee Simmons’s first child, Ming Lee, is 17 now. Yes, we’re talking about the same little girl she used to send down the Baby Phat runway at the end of her fashion shows. The teen just went to junior prom with her boyfriend, and to make sure she looked as fabulous as she is, Kimora designed her prom dress. When you have a fashion designer for a mother, it just makes sense, right?
The gown she made was a long champagne-colored frock. It had a low neckline, spaghetti straps that crossed in the back and a high slit up the thigh. Simmons celebrated not only that she made the dress, but that she also made the young lady wearing it.
The dress will actually be made available for all of us to own and wear — even if we’re not going to prom — through her KLS line. The name of the dress? “Ming Ming.”
Ming Lee looked stunning on her big day. The teen has done a lot of modeling lately, including posing in ads for her mother’s fashion line. It seems both she and little sister Aoki, who are both quite tall, will likely follow in Kimora’s footsteps.
