Twitter is a wonderful place that connects fans, actors and movie makers alike sometimes making our fan fiction and casting dreams come true. When a fabulous pic of singer Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o went viral and fans casted them in an epic heist movie, director Ava Duvernay signed on to make it happen, reportedly signing on Issa Rae to write the script. The genius of the Internet has struck again, this time to make millennials’ after-school TV-time dreams come true.
A fan recently suggested on social media that Tracee Ellis Ross play the famed Ms. Frizzle, the quirky school teacher on the 90’s classic series the Magic Schoolbus who would take her students on adventures to “navigate a nostril” or “spank a plankton too.”

The black-ish star caught wind of the fan’s request and posted a response that she’s completely game for making an appearance in the reboot of the animated adventure:
Well it looks like Twitter has spoken! So tell me guys: who should write? Who should direct? Ms. Frizzle is all earshttps://t.co/uDI80QP1IG

The curly hair, the offbeat personality, the balance of beauty and brains: It all makes so much sense. However it looks like Ellis-Ross and her fans may have missed the bus with this idea. Variety reports Saturday Night Live’s Kate McKinnon has signed on for the role of Ms. Frizzle in Netflix’s upcoming reboot of the Magic School Bus. The reimagining was announced in 2014 with 14 episodes to air on Netflix using CG as opposed to traditional animation.
Looks like the geniuses of Twitter were too late (but definitely not too little) with this idea, but hopefully the next great casting idea to give us some good old 90’s nostalgia will be able to come to fruition. So who are looking to star in that Ghostwriter reboot, guys?
