Ava is not playing with us. First, Entertainment Weekly, whet our appetites with those incredible photos; then, just a few days later we were blessed with the trailer. And the world which DuVernay and the cast of men and women from this upcoming work has come to life.
Again, the visuals are captivating. The whole thing is made more enticing by Oprah’s narration of what both Meg, the protagonist, and we the viewers will experience. Aside from Oprah’s voice, her costumes in this film are impeccable. I never considered the possibility of Oprah with platinum blonde hair but it works.
In fact, her attire for the project is one of the reasons Oprah agreed to participate in this film, DuVernay promised that she would be able to wear elaborate costumes.
